The portaloos are nearby. You should be so so impressed. There is a rumour that there a couple of nice grass pitches behind the impressive entrance so if you want to have a kick around whilst you are here you can ; but wow - what an entrance to the ' complex '

michaelLegend of the game2,431 posts michaelLegend of the game to be fair thats whats happening at the majestic entrance to the training pitches -taken one hour ago on way home . the training pitches are behind this lot -but even so- hardly grabs one does it ? nice uneven road down the side to the training pitches -players wont be taking their posh cars down that track. frankly-no idea whats going on at the front -there is a bit of tarmac at the very front-but that prob minimum club had to do to provide an entrance on to the main road-run out of tarmac after the first five yards-and been like that for a month . seems no permanent building /no posh marquee is being allowed so what exactly is happening i have no idea and needless to say-the club inform nobody . -and again-this has been ostensibly like this since last october -slowest groundworks progression i have ever seen . i think the point is that if you are a player/especially a new player at the club -this may not exactly be what was 'sold' to you re the great training facilities-marquee or no marquee . combine that with the pitch at the new lawn and maybe building works arent the clubs forte ! sadly-you get the impression that no one cares and they just let contractors control things
Rallyrover 1Armchair Manager313 posts Rallyrover 1Armchair Manager One has to assume that the CEO of the club is responsible for what happens at the stadium and also at the new site by junction 13. Which just about explains the state of both projects.😡 As for football. That appears to be another thing that over the last two seasons has not been the Club’s forte! Just what are they good at ? ojeastwoodLegend of the game1,114 posts ojeastwoodLegend of the game Six weeks until the start of the season. Not a chance that it will be ready. What is the punishment for not being able to host games for the first month of the season? I know some teams who have had to change their pitch from a plastic surface to grass for EFL regs have been allowed to reschedule a number of home games. I think I'm right in saying that I don't think we'll be able to do the same...

I will no longer go to FGR home games whilst we have the dictatorship that is Vince and son telling me what to eat, who to support world politics wise, and so on. Also treating the majority of home fans with little or no respect the way he does really gets my goat. It's no longer the friendly, pleasant, sociable club I have supported for over 50 years. Why not bring a packed lunch with you to the game and try not to glance in the general direction of the flag poles and you will be fine.

That makes no sense whatsoever. You don’t want to support us at home but are happy to support us away. You are supporting the same club wherever we play!! Before I started supporting FGR another club won my heart. They meant everything to me until new owners arrived, I didn’t agree with how club was being run so I had a choice: Support new owners and support the club or leave…. I left.
