Question on Across the Water - Is disc one all Budokan March 11 and disc two all Odeon March 31? The formatting of the wiki is confusing to me on this.

Holy crud, this thing is massive lol. I don't own Vol. I or II, so this is my first time seeing one of these boxes. Now to find some time to digest it all. Need to carve out time ASAP to watch Across the Water.

No one has attempted to post the big box to Discogs either.
Just a bare bones submission for the 17 CD box.Don’t look at me, I’m retired and no longer taking on big projects.

Yeah, my mistake, the Greedy Hand store listing for the Takes vinyl release says it's "the only way to get these unreleased songs or versions on vinyl," a somewhat tricky way to omit the not-unreleased "Hitchhiker" track from the vinyl exclusive claim.

Being optimistic that they have fixed the download files, I downloaded a complete set of 222 FLAC files on 9/11 at about 1:30pmET. Downloaded cleanly in about 20 minutes. I then used foobar2000 to do a bit compare of my current set of FLAC (many of which were fixed with ALAC and AIFF replacements, converted to FLAC) to the newly downloaded FLAC files. foobar2000 bit compare actually compares the decoded audio from each track (metadata is not relevant). foobar2000 gave me this list of 14 files that are not a match. They should look familiar as these are the usual suspects from earlier in this thread (and ones that I had to fix with ALAC or AIFF earlier myself). I tried a few. 006 seems to play fine but maybe there is a glitch. 011 has pink noise starting about 1 minute 8 seconds. I didn't try the rest.006 - No One Seems to Know (Live).flac"
011 - Lotta Love (Live, March 11, 1976).flac"
014 - Cortez the Killer (Live, March 11, 1976).flac"
015 - Human Highway (Live).flac"
024 - Powderfinger.flac"
045 - Hold Back the Tears.flac"
053 - Bite the Bullet.flac"
078 - Sail Away.flac"
094 - Down By the River (with The Gone With The Wind Orchestra).flac"
111 - Sugar Mountain (Live at the Boarding House).flac"
160 - Rainin’ In Paradise.flac"
170 - Cry, Cry, Cry.flac"
184 - Violent Side (Live at The Catalyst).flac"
218 - Wrecking Ball.flac"

I would love to see a video of Neil downloading the files!
As a side note, the very ending of the Neil unboxing video is hilarious. He shows the back cover of summer songs and says something like "that's a weird picture", which is so very true. Why does he look so weird in that picture?

What a fantastic box set. I'm only halfway through. And I just love the little raps that put the recordings in context, so the listener doesn't have to reach for the book/ booklet to get things in perspective. Great idea.

In terms of physical massiveness, I’ve been coping by removing everything, putting the book (with the timeline poster and hype sticker tucked inside) up on my bookshelf, and stashing the empty outer box out of sight. The inner box with the discs is actually fairly compact and far less intimidating than the big XXL kahuna box itself.

I have the two cd set and listen to it often. Just a great bar RnR band sound, Neil Young just happens to play guitar and sing a few songs.
