It’s crazy I keep reading these sentiments across multiple threads.
How did any black woman confuse her for black?
What psychosis were ppl under when they first saw this woman, that said “yeah she’s black?”

She debuted in 2008 and no one heard her speak until 2010’s “Blame Game” where she uttered the prophetic words “Yeezy Taught Me”
Where did she ever confuse anyone about what she is?

I don't recall her saying she was Black, mixed yes but straight up Black, I don't think so.
Dating a Black man doesn't mean you are Black. Being in the Black community doesn't mean you are "trying to be Black" either.

I was a teenager at that time. It seemed like Amber, Nicki, Blac Chyna, and Lola Monroe were all gelled together.

There are two groups of black people that usually claim non black people as black. Ghetto Black people and Insecure black people.
Ghetto Black people ESPECIALLY the men specifically dark skin men claim anyone adjacent to hip-hop as “black.” They are usually aggressive and often believe that if they forcefully label someone as black that they have ownership over that person’s talent or accolades
Insecure black people (more so black women that are insecure about being monoracially black) will often use biracial women as their representative. Ever wonder why some LSA fonts get so upset when one mentions the ethnic background of their favorite celebrity/actress/singer? For instance Pam Grier. When Pam Grier mentioned she wasn’t fully black there were loads of LSA fonts that were distrauhgt… some of them live through Biracials and multiracials because they are insecure about being a mono racial black woman.

Um idk.. like I said, I was a teenager at that time so you should get the gist of my age. I wasn’t really concerned with them but big butts were in. Black comes in all shades so perhaps they thought amber was black because of her dad being black if I’m not mistaken.
If you’re a Stan of any kind I don’t care for it lol

Right, meanwhile those same groups of people will other actual black people for being another black ethnicity that they don't like. Or they will call someone not black over having a NON-ratchet personality. But as long as a woman has some swag, has black friends, knows how to twerk/dance, and dates someone black they'll just label them as a "lightskin".
